Cube Steaks with Onion and Mushroom Gravy

This Cube Steak recipe isn’t complete until you add the Onion and Mushroom Gravy. This is a very delicious and easy to make recipe. The Cube Steaks are a very tender meat and you probably can cut it using a fork.

Cube Steaks with Onion and Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 Cube Steaks
  • 1 package sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small – medium onion sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Cornstarch
  • Butter (I use fat free)
  • Flour

Directions

  • Cook onions, and mushrooms in butter until onions are soft.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Coat each side of cube steak with flour.
  • Brown each side of steaks in the same pan as mushrooms and onions.
  • Heat beef broth in a separate pan.
  • Mix cornstarch with some hot water.
  • Wisk into broth just enough to thicken.
  • Add mushrooms, onions and gravy in the pan with steaks.
  • Cover and simmer about 35-45 min.
  • Stirring occasionally and scraping the bottom of the pan
