Cube Steaks with Onion and Mushroom Gravy
This Cube Steak recipe isn’t complete until you add the Onion and Mushroom Gravy. This is a very delicious and easy to make recipe. The Cube Steaks are a very tender meat and you probably can cut it using a fork.
Ingredients
- 4 Cube Steaks
- 1 package sliced mushrooms
- 1 small – medium onion sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- Cornstarch
- Butter (I use fat free)
- Flour
Directions
- Cook onions, and mushrooms in butter until onions are soft.
- Remove from pan.
- Coat each side of cube steak with flour.
- Brown each side of steaks in the same pan as mushrooms and onions.
- Heat beef broth in a separate pan.
- Mix cornstarch with some hot water.
- Wisk into broth just enough to thicken.
- Add mushrooms, onions and gravy in the pan with steaks.
- Cover and simmer about 35-45 min.
- Stirring occasionally and scraping the bottom of the pan
