Fried Shrimp Recipe
I love the taste of a good Fried Shrimp recipe and this one makes the grade. You can cook this as an appetizer or meal. You can even add the fried shrimp as a topping over pasta. This dish is an Italian favorite on Christmas eve.
Ingredients
- 1 to 2 lbs of extra-large uncooked shrimp (Get the shrimp that’s already De-veined)
- Italian Style Bread Crumbs
- White pepper to taste
- Black Pepper to taste
- 2 eggs
- Skim Milk
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions
- Add 2 eggs and a splash of skim milk into a saucer and mix.
- In a separate dish, add bread crumbs, white pepper, and black pepper (If you have to add more bread crumbs, include a sprinkle of white and black pepper.
- Dip each shrimp in egg mix.
- Dip each shrimp in bread crumbs on all sides and set on a separate dish.
- Add enough Olive Oil to cover frying pan surface.
- Set heat at medium.
- Add shrimp and fry until golden brown and set aside on a dish with couple of paper towels on the bottom to soak up leftover oil.
This recipe serves 2 to 4 adults.
I hope you enjoy this Fried Shrimp recipe. I always take requests, so please, send an email to boscony[@]yahoo.com and let me know what you would like me to cook.

Oh wow, I’m going to have to try this! I’m ashamed to say that my guys and I usually only eat fried shrimp when we’re on vacation, yet we all LOVE it. I just hadn’t known what to buy or how to cook them- until now! Thanks!
Christie,
My husband and I eat this once in a while as a treat. It’s that fattening as we cook it with olive oil and sometimes egg whites to reduce the fat and calories.
