We went to Ron of Japan for a birthday for one of our friends. The atmosphere was great and the décor was amazing. We sat in the bar waiting to be seated and drank some Super Mai Tai.
The chef’s grill on an iron plate set into each table, the food is prepared and seasoned right in front of you.
The biggest hit is the egg yolk sauce. It is a favorite by many patrons and there’s no limit to how much you want, so order it on everything!
You have to get the Crown dinners because they come with salad, soup, extra main course and dessert. It truly is a great experience and the flavor is just out of this world.
The only problem at Ron of Japan in Northbrook, IL is the ventilation. When you leave, the smell of the food adheres to your clothing until you wash it. I recommend that you never wear leather or clothing that is expensive.

I wish I had read your article before going there: the food is good but I was weary a nice suit and I had pay for dry cleaning to remove the smell.
