Victoria’s Meatloaf Recipe
Meatloaf and Garlic Mashed Potatoes go so well together. This recipe uses lean ground beef which is much healthier.
Ingredients
- 1.5-2lbs ground beef (I use 95% lean ground sirloin)
- 1tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/2 to 1 small onion (if you like a lot of onion use the whole onion) finely chopped
- 1/2 cup of bread crumbs (I use Italian style it’s all I buy)
- 1 egg
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste (garlic powder optional)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl add all ingredients except 1/4 cup of water and only add 1/4 cup of the mushroom soup.
- Mix all ingredients well and put in a baking dish shape like a loaf.
- Cook uncovered for approximately 1 hour @ 350 degrees.
- When meatloaf is cooked, take it out of the dish and set on a cutting board for about 5-8 minutes before cutting.
Gravy Recipe
Take 2 tbsp of grease drippings from dish and add the 1/4 cup water and remaining mushroom soup in a small sauce pan. Cook until hot and pour this on top of meatloaf slices on each dish as gravy.
Make Garlic Mashed Potatoes as a side for this dish.
Enjoy!
